For local schools:  The author will try, to the best of her ability, to visit schools within an hour of Westchester County, NY.  Her time is limited, however, as she works full-time!

Her preferred format is to visit with small groups of third and/or fourth graders.  She will spend a few moments talking about the process of writing Red Slider, will read an excerpt from the book, and will engage the children in an age-appropriate fiction writing exercise to illustrate the writing process.  In some cases, the author will do a return visit to share stories created by the children based on the writing exercise.

If visiting once, the author will send a flyer which can be distributed to children in advance of the author's visit so that Red Slider can be purchased for signing.  These purchases can be made individually by parents, or can be coordinated by the school.  If she is visiting twice, she will bring flyers on the first visit, and will conduct most signings during the second visit, unless the school prefers otherwise.

For non-local schools:  Because of the author's career commitments, it will be difficult to coordinate many visits to non-local schools.  However, schools can contact the author to discuss the possibility.
